6 Things that the LORD hates

Happy New year to you my dear readers, we thank God for his love, mercies and grace that’s brought us into the new year. It’s being sometime I posted, but I trust that the Lord would grant me great utterance of his word.

Before we talk of what God hates, I want to talk of what he loves, the bible tells us clearly the type of person God loves.

2 Corinthians 9:7 … God loveth a cheerful giver. God is not only concerned that you give, he is concerned about your attitude when you give. Do you give grudgingly or out of necessity? God is pleased when we give to him out of love, knowing that the earth belongs to God, the world and its fullness thereof ‘Psalms 24vs 1’ , but by giving we are divinely connected to his resources.

So what are the six things that the Lord hates?

Proverbs 6:17-19 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

That look of arrogance that you give to people who you feel you are superior to is a proud look. Because they don’t look like you or talk like you does not mean there’s something wrong with them, God wants us to treat his creatures with love and respect.

God is displeased when we lie to each other, he wants us to live honestly with others, telling lies to win popularity may get you along with men but not with God.

There are people who are so desperate for power, they would do anything to get power; they refuse to defend the poor rather they exploit them.

There re those that think evil of others , their minds have become an evil devise for their evil purposes, instead of using their talents for the better good of mankind; they use it to destroy.

These are some of the things the Lord hates. Of the things God hates, surprisingly the more common sins like fornication, adultery which people focus so much on aren’t listed here not because they are not sins but these particular six sins are those sins of the heart which on the outward people praise the person but God who sees in secret is displeased.

It’s a new year, lets ask the Lord for grace to live in a way that pleases him.
