Though Jesus came to us over 2000 years ago, he is still relevant to the world today, how is this possible? Because Jesus is himself God, the world was made by him, though the world knew him not.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt amongst us.
The people of his day thought he was Joseph’s son, some thought he was a great prophet.
Jesus asked his disciples whom do men say that I am, Peter filled with the holy ghost declared
‘Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God’.
Mattew 16:13-16
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Cæsarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
The knowledge of who Christ is came to Peter by the holyspirit, the revelation you have of God determines the quality of fellowship you’ll have with him, that’s why some people can pray for ten minutes and get tired while others can pray for hours and not be tired
So who do you think Jesus Christ is, because the knowledge of who God is determines your walk with him.
In the time of Moses, the people knew the acts of God, but Moses was acquainted with the ways of God. God revealed himself to Moses in a special way, Moses was not just there for the miracles, he loved God.
What about Abraham? He was called the friend of God
David was called a man after God’s heart
What made these men peculiar? Their love for God. All they wanted to do was to love God, they didn’t come there for a nice time, they were there when it was convenient and when it was not convenient; that’s what made them special to God,
You can know God for yourself, you can fellowship with him through prayer, the word and with other believers because now Christ lives inside of you, the holyspirit teaches you all things
You have an unction from him.
