We thank God for the new year. We thank him for the past year. We thank him for his faithfulness. Truly God has been good.
The new year has come and a lot of people have made their new year resolutions. It is important to take stock of the previous year; in what areas did you make progress and in what areas do you need to improve? Do not be too hard on yourself and don’t go so easy on yourself either. Thank the Lord for those areas were you made progress and thank him for the areas were you need to improve.
There are people who come to you pretending to be friends, but they wont pretend for ever. This year you need to know were the distractions are coming from and decide to remain focused. In the midst of oppositions, you can be a success.
God has promised and he is faithful to his word. So decide to focus more on God, spend quality time in prayer, fellowship with other believers. Be careful of the type of friends you keep.
Proverbs 13:20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise.
This year, we must choose our friends and not let our friends choose us, we must make decisions that would set us on the right path, we must be led by God and not our senses, We must trust in God because he’ll never lead us amidst.
So we must decide to stay focused on God in the midst of oppositions trusting that God’ll strengthen and empower us in the midst of oppositions!
