What is Influence?
Influence is the effect of a persons behavior on others.
What is Godly Influence
Godly influence is the effect of God on you which affects your actions and your behavior.
We need Godly influence to influence our world for Jesus Christ.
So if you know that you are an influential person by virtue of some special priviledge , what would you do?
Would you rather use it for good or for evil? To promote the gospel or your interests?
Remember that whatever enablement you have came to you from God, So how is your lifestyle affecting others for Christ? Do your actions draw attention to you or does it draw attention to God? What do you want to be known for? Do you want to stand out for Christ or to blend in with the world?
1Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
Your life is not your own, Your life is for God. If your body is the temple of God and you are despising it, using it as you please, The bible says such a temple would be destroyed by God.
The scriptures are replete of warnings to flee the wrath of God. You cannot despise God and expect that things would go well with you.
Ask yourself are you a better Christian today than you were yesterday?
The bible says let us not deceive ourselves. Let everyone that calls on the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal. The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from evil.
Christians are to refresh the weary souls, encourage others and strengthen them in the Lord. But if your actions are otherwise, then you have backslidden and it is time to turn back to the Lord.
Repent and be saved.
You are probably the bible that the unbelievers are reading? So what type of bible are you?
Come out from among them! This is an instruction from God. Be holy and God will accept you. But if you continue in your evil way, you ll be destroyed, this is God’s word but it is not his desire for you. But it is your choice that will determine it.
Every Christian has to realise their areas of weakness and ask God for strength in those areas. You cant be righteous or live a holy life in your own strength or ability but in the ability and strength that God gives.
You should ask why have you become so influential at this time? How did it happen? And how are you using it? Use your life to honor God so that others see the influence of Christ in and on you and are encouraged to live a better life for Jesus Christ.
