The gifts of the spirit

There are gifts God has reserved for us.

Romans 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
12:7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
12:8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
12:13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

God is so big and so generous that he wants us to share in his glory. He’s not so small that he is thinking of taking all the glory to himself even though he has every right to, the glory is so much that he wants us to share in it. He has made us partakers of that glory so that when people see us, they can see Jesus in us.
When you meet people in need and you help them, You have become Jesus to them. God can not come and heal the sick, he can’t heal the broken-hearted but when you minister through the gift of the spirit and a person that was discouraged becomes strengthened, you have become Jesus to them.
Some of God’s children have no semblance to him, people look at them and wonder, Is this a Christian? they behave and act so much like the world that people can’t tell that they are Christians.

God has given us several gifts.

1 Corinthians 12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
The gifts of healing, word of wisdom, word of knowledge..
1 Corinthians 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

God does not give us these gifts for us to show how powerful we are, but to show us how good he is. How he loves us, how he wants us strengthened and comforted. We are to minister according to the measure of faith, we are to be humble and give glory to God as God demonstrates his power to us.
Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

As we receive the gifts freely so we are to minister freely to others. There are books that are given out free by their authors and if you got it free and then tried to sell it to someone, you will be going against the law because its free. Even so when we minister to others as Gods ministers, we can release freely because God has blessed us freely and then we can see ourselves operating in higher gifts of the spirit.

Every one has a gift. You may say what’s mine? That’s for you to find out. The holy spirit gives us gifts as he wills.
Its for the work, Its for Gods people to be blessed and to be ministered to.
1 Corinthians 14:4 …but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
Spend time to pray and God will direct you on the gifts that you are to operate in.

Don’t ever think that someone’s gift is better than yours, even though the bible says to covert spiritual gifts but the most important gift is love. See 1Corinthians 13.
When you love your neighbor, you won’t steal from them, cheat them, backbite them and do anything that could hurt them. You won’t need to be told do good or don’t do this or do that, you will naturally do what’s right and what’s pleasing to God, because the love of God will direct you.
Allow God’s love to direct you so that every thing you say, do and think will be pleasing to God.
How can God bless you so much yet you don’t take out the time to thank him, you act like you are God, you are so full of pride, craftiness and cunningness.
You may deceive men but you can’t deceive God because he is not a man.
The bible says don’t fret because of the wicked, commit it to God. If the foolishness of God is wiser than man, how much more his wisdom?
We are not trying to overcome or hoping to overcome because the bible says we have already overcome them because the One in us is greater than all of them put together, We are more than conquerors, so we function from this understanding, that we are not fighting our enemies, we are enforcing our victory. There will be giants but like Caleb and Joshua we can say if God is with us, who can be against us?
God loves us and has given us the gifts of the spirit for our joy, comfort and strengthening.
Hallelujah
