Psalms 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
In the world today, we find that so many people are doing things because they think it is fashionable or because everyone is doing it, but is it good and is it pleasing to God? That’s the question we must ask ourselves.
A well-known minister of the gospel made a statement, he said ‘The church will always be the church and the world the world. He said God is not going to judge you based on the standard of your country but based on the Word of God.’
We are ambassadors of Christ in the world, therefore we are to function at a higher level.
If you have being on a journey and suddenly realized you were on the wrong route, would you say I have gone so far, might as well continue that way, No. You would make a turn and go in the direction that leads to your destination. So it is with us. We must not do things in a certain way because that’s what everyone is doing. We must be teachable, we can unlearn the wrong things and we can learn the right things. If you are behaving in a certain way, it’s because you have chosen to be that way. The moment you decide you want a change, you can. And God will help you as you make that change for good in Jesus name.
