15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 
15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

David was a mere shepherd boy until the anointing came on him and he became a leader of God’s people.
Far back in the forest he was not even considered to be among God’s choice for a leader in his family, but God anointed him all the same.

Gideon was a young man who saw nothing special in himself. He felt weak and inadequate. He could not believe that God could use him to deliver God’s people, but God did.
God saw a great man when others saw a weakling. God called him a mighty man of valor.

Judges  6:12 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour., v16

There are so many people who were write off’s by men but chosen by God because God’s ways are not men’s ways and his thoughts about you don’t change with the opinions of men. In fact when men write you off, God says this is my opportunity to showcase my glory so when I do it , men will know it’s not because you are so good or so perfect or the most intelligent , talented or beautiful. Or you know the most people. It’s not and has never being about that. It’s all because of his grace. So what may look like a disadvantage to some becomes an advantage for you.

Your success in life is tied to your connection to Jesus. You are of no relevance without Him, Jesus but because of him you are somebody.

Who was Lot and what did he have before Abraham came into his life?
It was his association with Abraham that made him become so rich and prosperous that their cattle men started fighting. Abraham did not want this, he told Lot to choose where ever he would go and then he, Abraham would choose the other side.
Lot knew very well that he had always prospered by listening to Abraham but this time he felt this was his break, his opportunity to shine and to show that he was now bigger than Abraham himself, so rather than ask Abraham to choose for him, he chose the greener land and left the parched land for Abraham. He may have said to himself, Am the smart guy. But God said to Abraham as soon as Lot had left him; Lot was a distraction for God did not speak to Abraham all the time he was with Lot. God said to Abraham; Look to the north, south, the east, the west, Its  yours. That included the area Lot had chosen for himself.
What about Lot? He spent the rest of his life in a cave. It was obvious that it was his connection to Abraham that had caused him to be rich and prosperous.
It was also obvious that cheating does not pay.
Gen 13, 19.

What am I trying to say here? As a blessed man, you carry the blessing. Anyone that is connected to you is blessed for your sake. It is in their own wisdom to be close to you even if they are pretending to be. Also as a blessed man or woman, some one may deceive you but because that blessing has put you in a position of authority and prosperity, You cannot be disadvantaged or be yoked. Those that cheated you and deceived you will come to you begging you because you are a blessed man or woman. That blessing defends you and protects you. Those that deceived you in the past may think that they have really done you in, but its only an opportunity for God to show you how much of a solid backing you have in him. God remains faithful, he can never change. He is God, he is not a man. Praise God! You don’t have to play God because you re not and you can’t be. Just be yourself.

What is that thing that has troubled you? Lay it at the feet of the master because anything that bothers you bothers him. Those that mock at you will find out that they are not mocking you but they are mocking God because he sent you. You did not send yourself. And he is with you so strong.
Those that declare themselves your enemies even when you have being good and kind to them will find out how great and powerful this your God is.

Jesus knew how blessed he was, he was so blessed that a woman got healed merely by touching the hem of his garment. Jesus knew virtue or power had gone out of him and  the woman who had wanted to go back quietly testified to the miracle-working power of God over her life.
She had being healed. Hallelujah!
Your faith, your earnest hunger , passion and the intensity of your desire for a miracle can cause a special blessing on your life. Jesus was not thinking of healing that woman. But the woman reached out in faith and she got her healing.

Remember that you are nothing without Jesus. You are only someone because of him. Therefore stay connected to your source, the indestructible vine, the life-giver, your supplier, your solid rock and your helper. You know how much God has blessed you and helped you, it will be foolish of you to act like you can do it all by yourself. Tell Jesus how much you need his help everyday. Jesus can make a nobody a somebody. He can bring you out of that back side of the desert where you were a nobody and unknown to leading his people with signs and wonders which are a demonstration of his holiness, mighty power and glory.
