It’s very important you love yourself. By this I don’t mean having an inflated ego or looking at yourself in the mirror all the time. No, I mean loving and accepting yourself for who you are. Your big nose, your dark skin, your fat you… Love you!
I also mean respecting yourself enough to walk away from people and situations that constantly pick at your self-esteem. I mean surrounding yourself with people who believe in you and love you just as you are and not those that want you to be someone you are not for them to be happy with you. I mean believing in yourself and being the bright shiny star that God made you to be. Thinking of yourself highly because God takes you very highly.
So you are not perfect, well no one is either, everyone has flaws. Love you! Forget about your errors, everyone makes mistakes. Some people’s flaws are more obvious than others but it does not make the ones whose flaws are hidden better than those whose flaws are obvious.
You re a magnificent master piece made by God. Focus on that. Find out those special things about you and appreciate yourself. One reason you must love yourself is because Jesus loves you.
You are valuable to him. You are special!
God wants you to be happy, healthy and prosperous. He takes delight in your success. Some people think God does not want us rich and prosperous but that’s a lie of the devil. God wants us to acknowledge our riches as coming from him then use those riches to serve him and help others . But first you must see yourself as already rich. Because God has blessed you abundantly and made you a blessing. The blessing has come already. All you need to do is release it. God is excited about your prosperity. See 3John2.
He takes pleasure in your success.
Psalms 35:27 Let them ..be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
God made the whole world and gave it to you. The stars, seas, mountains, the creatures. They are all for you because he takes delight in you and you are for him. You belong to him. He wants you to shine for him. You are the expression of his glory. Always be thankful for what God has done. He has already done so much. He has honored you, glorified you, cleansed you, made you a Kingdom of Kings and Priests to him. He has being good to you.
1Peter2v9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
Praise God. Take delight in knowing that God loves you. Meditate and personalize scriptures such as these.
Jeremiah 31v3
The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea , i have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
Be conscious of that love and light up your world with love.
