Who is the holy spirit? He is the spirit of the Almighty God, he flows from God and he carries out Gods work on earth. He is the one Jesus spoke about. He is the comforter. He is just like Jesus. But he lives in you.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
He has a ministry. His ministry is to teach you, guide you, strengthen you and comfort you.
With the holyghost in your life you can never walk in darkness because he will show you the right path.
No wonder the disciples were asked to wait in Jerusalem till they received the holy ghost. He did not say tarry till you receive money. No. He said tarry till you receive the holy ghost. He knew that was all they needed.
The holy ghost can open doors no man can open. He can also shut doors no man open. He is the one who says to you, You are a champion when everything around you looks otherwise. He is the one whose voice you can trust. He is your advantage.
When you pray to God and you feel his presence that’s the holy ghost right there. He is the one that brings the presence of God to you. When he is for you, it does not matter who is against you. You are more than a conqueror. All the wonderful works of God such as healing, comfort, salvation etc He is the one that does them through the name of Jesus for the glory of God. He is not less than Jesus. He is God because he flows from God.
If you let the holyghost he will show you the right path. God wants you to discover it early so you can enjoy the fullness of it.
Psalms 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
The holy ghost will show you the mysteries of life. Nothing will be hidden from you anymore, he will show you things to come. He will communicate to you the will and counsels of God. The holy spirit will always be in agreement with the word of God.
The more you train your spirit to listen to him and hear his voice, the more he ll reveal himself to you, the clearer will be your visions and revelations.
How do you train yourself to listen to him? Simple. When you hear that gentle voice telling you to pray, pray. He may tell you to change your lifestyle or habits such as drinking, slandering others etc. You may hear him tell you when you want to lie or gossip about someone ‘ dont do that’ , the more you listen to him, the more he will reveal to you; and even things not just about you but even about nations. Glory to God.
After you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you need the holyspirit. Invite him into your life like you would a friend.
Jesus needed the holyspirit, after he was baptised, the bible says the holyghost came upon him in the form of a dove. It was through the ministry of the holyghost that Jesus carried out his work on earth.
The holyspirit is a very gentle spirit. He will not tolerate bitterness, malice etc in our lives. We are not to use offensive words even with others or deliberately hurt others as that will not be pleasing to him. The holy spirit wants to live in you, to talk to you , encourage you and help you. He knows the way out of any situation and if we ll learn to seek his counsel, we lld live more glorious lives.
With the holyghost in you, you are unbeatable. He never said that trials and challenges would not come or that we would not have enemies but he gives us a mindset of victory.
Jeremiah 1:19 And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
Deuteronomy 28:7 .. they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
Praise God. The holyghost is my advantage. Hallelujah!!!
