Women come in all sizes and shapes, the tall and elegant ones, the curvy and petite ones, the dark ones, the light ones, the nice ones, the nasty ones, the polite ones, the rude ones, the shy ones, the bold ones, the complicated ones, the simple ones… on and on and on…

It seems that as much as their looks and personalities differ so do their expectations and needs in relationships but this is not so..

At the heart every woman whether black or white, tall or short, is the desire to be loved and appreciated. So if you have that special woman in your life, here a few things you can do for her speaking from a woman’s perspective that will endear you more and more to her heart.

1. Listen to her

 Women like to talk a lot; sometimes it could be tiring and frustrating listening to her but sometimes that’s all she needs. Listen to her as she talks about work, her friends, her boss, the kids etc. Don’t shout at her and never get tired or irritated at her stories; rather see it as an opportunity to bond with her and get to know her better.

2. Share in her excitement about her goals and dreams

Its said that women have about 1000 moods and sometimes it seems hard to understand them, women are highly emotional creatures, sometimes a woman is so excited about something and then she shows it to you and then you her man, husband etc barely looks away from the papers you re reading and you just mumble something under your breath, that’s enough to turn her off for the whole evening.

3. Be her number one fan

A woman needs a lot of support and encouragement emotionally no matter how strong she may appear on the outside, a simple word of encouragement from her man could go a long way in brightening up her day, because the environment we live in is mainly male dominated, it takes extra efforts from women to be highly successful in her field. Celebrate your woman, see her success as your success, never feel intimidated rather be glad you have her.

4. Ask for her ideas

Women are highly spiritual and smart, there’s a lot she can show you about your job, etc if you would only ask her. She can give you insight that could be very helpful to you. Ask her for ideas as you prepare a proposal etc and see the special difference of a woman’s touch.

5. Be Romantic

 Remember how you were showering her with love and attention when you were wooing her, well it does not stop now just because you re dating her or you re now married to her, you never get tired of telling her you love her. Once in a while go out of your way to do things for her that strengthen the bond between you two. Affirm your love for your woman by showing and telling her you love her.  Call her while she s at work, send her a message to let her know you re thinking of her. Be lavish with your affections; pet her, cuddle her and make her feel loved. Do crazy things that show you love her and you re proud she’s yours for example depending on the occasion and environment, Kiss her in public: this sends a signal to others that you are happy, confident and comfortable to be with her, it also tells all would be suitors she’s yours. If you are a married man, wear your ring at all times, put her picture in your office.

 6. Be a God-fearing man

A woman needs a strong man. You need to be a man of faith, prayer and love. Teach your woman to love God and to have a personal relationship with him, seek ways to build her up spiritually, encourage her to study word, pray, go for leadership classes at work etc. When challenges come to you, seek ways to deal with them first from the perspective of the word instead of carnal solutions first. Pray for her. Always have an encouraging word for her.

As you build up yourself spiritually and become a better man in all aspects of your life, it will reflect in the quality of women you attract.

7. Surprise her with gifts, cards etc

In life, sometimes it’s those little spontaneous gifts that matter, surprise your woman with gifts, cards, flowers etc and watch the beam on her face, you don’t have to spend a fortune, it’s the thought that matters. Know her shoe size, dress size etc. Shower her with gifts, love and attention. If she s at work, call her or send her messages to let her know you re thinking of her

8. Be Appreciative

When she makes extra efforts to look good for you or goes out of her way to prepare that delicacy you like so much despite her busy schedule, appreciate her for it. Never take her for granted, always tell her how fortunate you are to have her in your life and your love for each other will keep on blossoming.

 Do all this for your woman while you have her, don’t let her go before you appreciate her or let someone else do these things for her. Next to our first and most important relationship with God, a woman is a precious gift to man, she is a treasure, put in all the efforts you can to make sure she’s happy to have you.
